Infinite Green Energy has partnered with WA fuel distributor Refuel Australia, moving a step closer towards delivering the State’s first commercial-scale renewable hydrogen.

Perth-based IGE — formerly known as Infinite Blue Energy — said on Wednesday it would work with Refuel Australia to construct a hydrogen refuelling station at its MEG HP1 project in Northam.

Refuel managing director Ian Burrows said the company was excited to be an early mover in the supply of green hydrogen in partnership with IGE.

IGE chief executive Stephen Gauld said the partnership represented a significant milestone for the company.

IGE said it had also secured additional land that would provide the option to double production of renewable energy to 8 tonnes a day.
