Ari is in a hit and run but Jas and Lewis consummate their relationship and Jas is my favourite so I’ll talk about her first.

Finally something good in Jasmine’s life - so everyone take a moment to celebrate with her before Lewis breaks her heart (probably).

Yes, he seems great and he says all the right things but he’s not giving up on Christian anytime soon and Jasmine will be forced to choose between them both and she will chose Christian because Tori is the mother of dead Robbo’s child.

Anyway, last night Jasmine invited Lewis in, but first she has to kick her roomies out of the house because she’s a grown adult who lives with two other grown adults, particularly Irene.

“Don’t take this the wrong way but is there any way you could not be here?” Jas says to Willow and Irene.

Willow giggles and Irene grins from ear to ear and take themselves out to dinner to kill a few hours.

Jas and Lewis get back to it.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy,” Jas says.

“I was thinking the same thing,” Lewis replies.

Jasmine says everything is “perfect”, although Lewis doesn’t stay the night and doesn’t make up a lame excuse as to why he needs to leave. It’s a red flag if you ask me.

They meet up the next day and agree to keep their relationship a secret from their colleagues which inevitably won’t end well.

And speaking of the hospital, Budget McDreamy has gone full obsessive about possible mistakes he’s been making and projects his paranoia onto Maz who dropps a few coins which Tori used to pay for two coffees! Yes that’s right, two coffees only costs shrapnel.

No wonder the unemployed teens can afford breakfast, lunch and dinner out.

Tori sees what is happening and tries to reason with Budget McDreamy.

“You’re not thinking straight,” Tori says.

“You know you did everything right with Lewis’ wife.

“If you keep second-guessing yourself you will miss something.”

Honestly his character hasn’t really done a lot since he moved to Summer Bay — apart from ask Tori to marry him, which by comparison to everything else going on is pretty tame — so I’m not opposed to him exploring this paranoia further.

Meanwhile Dean is all consumed with Mac’s “condition” even though it has nothing to do with him.

Dean asks Ari to come over for a “catch up” to discuss Paul and his thugs — the people who kidnapped the kids — which is really a ploy to get Ari to talk to Mac.

Then who shall pay Ari a visit but Mia.

She’s not here “to make peace” and wants to collect the rest of Chloe’s stuff.

“Don’t you dare try and talk your way out of this,” Mia says when Ari tries to explain by reminding her of the night they spent together but it has the adverse effect because the sex mustn’t have been that great.

“You know what I regret the most?” Mia screams at him. “Letting you back in.”

Back to Dean who makes another attempt at his sister to tell Ari about the baby — which we still don’t know is real.

Mac is going to the clinic tomorrow to “discuss her options” and Dean finally relents and says he’ll support her whatever she decides — which is what he should have said from the start.

“You need to let go about Ari being in the picture because I’m not sure there’s going to be a picture,” Mac says to Dean.

Before the appointment Ari apologises to Mac for dumping her and going back to his old girlfriend who promptly dumped him.

“I’m really sorry about the way things turned out,” he says.

It makes Mac reconsider and she feels guilty for not telling Ari about the baby.

“I know that if I don’t tell Ari the truth I’ll never forgive myself. He deserves to know what’s going on,” Mac tells Dean.

Ari is on the phone to Chloe making his final plea when a car drives straight for him and deliberately mows him down. He’s left splayed on the side of the road, possibly lifeless.

When Mac finds out she’ll tell him about the baby for sure.
