Murder has become a familiar scene on Home and Away and tonight is no exception as Lewis the serial killer prepares to inject Budget McDreamy with a life ending substance.

Lewis had made it his duty to get back at Budget McDreamy — whose wife and unborn child died while under his care many years ago — and for weeks Lewis has been secretly killing off Budget McDreamy’s neuro patients.

How that went undetected by investigations and autopsies is beyond me, but you’ve got to pick your battles with this show.

And I choose how Lewis possibly hauled Budget McDreamy’s unconscious lump of a body onto the gurney.

Anyway, Christian is restrained when he wakes up.

“Your life’s in my hands now,” Lewis says in a menacing voice.

“How does that make you feel?

“If the authorities won’t hold you accountable, then I will.”

Then Lewis sets up some sort of hostage camera to presumably relive the moment he gets revenge on Budget McDreamy, but he’s just setting himself up to get caught.

It’s some seriously amazing acting in the facial expression department from Budget McDreamy as he gets a drip inserted and screams for help, which goes unheard.

“I want to see the exact moment your heart stops,” Lewis says.

Budget McDreamy is wriggling around but the restraints don’t budge as he begs to be let go.

As Lewis readies himself to inject the deadly substance, Budget McDreamy has an epiphany and uses Jasmine as bait.

“Think about Jasmine, hasn't she been put through enough” Budget McDreamy says.

“If you do this it will be destroy her.”

But not precious Jasmine deters Lewis.

As the day goes on, neither Jasmine or Tori can get hold of their significant other and the alarm bells start to ring .

“I’ve just got a really bad feeling about this,” Jas says.

Good thing they’ve got some pull at the hospital narrow down the search area to the hospital.

But we’ll have to wait even longer to see if they reach the pair in time and the episode closes with Budget McDreamy’s heart monitor racing out of control.

In other news the producers attempt to have a conversation about consent, but they miss a golden opportunity.

Bella gets an email saying she’s won a photography competition and the award ceremony is that night.

But the celebration is short lived because Nikau isn’t particularly happy about the photo in question because Bella never asked his permission to use it.

It’s a snap of him asleep with striking lighting that wouldn’t feel out of place in the murder room Lewis has set up. But my opinion doesn’t matter because it took out the comp.

“You’re not hearing me. You shouldn’t have done it,” Nik says.

Instead of opening a dialogue as my mum says, Nik gets a pep talk from Dean who basically tells him to toughen up because Bella has lost everything in her life and she needs something good.

After Dean calls him “mate” in a condescending tone, Nik decides he’s proud of Bella, they put it behind them and head off to the awards.

Meanwhile Leah is taking the investigation into her own hands. Who would blame her, the local police are useless.

However her relentless pursuit of Susie is getting out of control. She’s stuffing up orders for toasted sandwiches (very shocking) and Justin is disgruntled.

Insinuating Leah is crazy because she put tomato in a toastie.

But he’ll move onto grunting about something else soon. He thinks he’s well enough to enter the esteemed surf comp despite his bouts of agonising pain and nearly drowning a few days ago.
