Addressing the alarming coronavirus crisis in Victorian aged care homes should be a 'joint-effort", according to Council on the Ageing Chief Executive Ian Yates who has called for all levels of government to put politics aside.

Mr Yates will join The West Live host Jenna Clarke from 8.45am to discuss the unfolding situation crisis plaguing almost 90 centres across Melbourne centres and to continue his push for action.

Also on the show, the State's Chief Scientist Peter Klinken will discuss emerging technologies and WA's future economic opportunities in STEM.
