Weddings can be stressful occasions especially when you have 40,000 uninvited guests threatening to show up.

The hive was discovered two metres from where Kerry Dunn will get married in a council park on Saturday.

Fortunately councillor Paul Tully is also a bee keeper and made it his mission to save the big day.

The wedding will now go ahead as planned and the honey removed from the hive will be given to the bride and groom on their big day.
