Broome Police are calling on the public for help in identifying and finding a driver accused of hooning at Gantheaume Point in close range of other beachgoers.

The red ute was spotted on Tuesday evening doing burnouts in the sand and swerving between families before speeding off across the beach towards the access ramp.

Senior Sergeant Dave Whitnell shared a video of the incident police received from a witness on the Kimberley District - WA Police Force Facebook page.

“I again implore the community to come forward with information to assist,” he posted on Facebook.
