Police are looking for the driver of a ute, which allegedly struck an elderly man crossing the road in Merriwa last month.

The serious crash happened about 2.30pm on Friday, November 27, as a grey Toyota Hilux utility was turning left from Hester Avenue onto Connolly Drive at a roundabout.

Police will allege the car hit a 79-year-old man who was crossing the road.

The elderly pedestrian was taken by St John Ambulance to the Joondalup Health Campus, suffering a hip injury.
