A road rage incident outside a south Brisbane hospital occurred in the lead-up to the alleged murder of a man who was run down with a car in Logan, police say.

A new witness has come forward and dashcam footage has emerged following the death of 25-year-old Troy Edward Vandenberg, who was hit by a white Audi wagon and killed about 3pm Friday at Browns Plains.

Mr Vandenberg and Umar Hussein Alkhalifa Al Enizi, 20, were involved in an altercation in the southbound lanes of Ipswich Rd, at the intersection of Tottenham St, outside the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Queensland Police say.

They then drove separate cars onto the Pacific Motorway before travelling about 25km south to the Logan suburb of Browns Plains, where Mr Vandenberg was killed.

Al Enizi, from Marsden, was arrested and charged with murder on Saturday.

His charges, which include repeated unlicensed driving and leaving the scene of an accident, were mentioned in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday.

Al Enizi did not appear and was unable to apply for bail before being remanded in custody for mention on November 10.

Police will allege the white Audi S3 and a silver-blue Toyota Camry were involved in the incident between Brisbane north and Logan.

The vehicles used the Clem 7 tunnel, Pacific Motorway M3 and the Gateway Motorway M2 between 2pm and 3pm on Friday leading up to the fatal incident.
