Woman dies after horror motorcycle collision in Beeliar

A young woman has died following a horror motorcycle collision in Beeliar on Sunday.

The crash happened about 4:10pm, when a group of motorcyclists were travelling east on Russell Road.

As the group approached the intersection of Pearse Road, two of the motorcycles — a Yamaha and a Harley Davidson — collided with each other.

The 27-year-old female pillion passenger on the Yamaha motorcycle fell off the bike and suffered critical injuries.

She was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance, but tragically later died.

Major Crash detectives are investigating the fatal crash and have appealed for information from witnesses.

Anyone who saw the group of motorcycles being ridden in the Beeliar and surrounding areas prior to the crash, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online.
