Western Australia’s recent run of Lotto winners has continued with an eastern suburbs newsagency selling a division one ticket worth in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.

The $1 million ticket was sold by Carramar Lottery Centre and News

The WA winner comes after division one winning Saturday Lotto tickets were sold in consecutive weeks, netting a tradie from Wanneroo over $2.8 million and a Wagin handyman $2.5 million respectively.

Western Australia has now celebrated 52 division One winners in 2021, sharing in over $100 million prizes.

Carramar Lottery Centre and News owner Milan Gohil said he hoped that WA’s newest millionaire was one of his regulars.

“We’ve been here for over 10 years and it’s a lovely community with a lot of regulars that visit our store,” Mr Gohil said.

“I’m always telling our customers that I hope that this is the big one and I’m so glad that it’s come true for someone.”

Carramar Lottery Centre and News are no strangers to selling division one tickets, having celebrated big wins in consecutive draws in 2020 and a share in a division one winning syndicate in 2021, totalling over $2.6 million in prizes.

"Our recent winners have had such wonderful stories to tell with one who had his ticket sitting on his fridge for a week and the other a gift for Father's Day so we cannot wait to hear what story WA's newest millionaire shares with us," Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said.
