Lotto: Northam player wins $1.8 million, becoming third instant millionaire of the week

A Northam lotto player is $1.8 million richer after their numbers came up in Saturday’s draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Warricks Newsagency and was WA’s third win over $1 million last week.

Store owner Troy Robertson was hopeful more wins are on the cards given previous form.

“The last time we produced a division one win, we had three wins within four years, so I’m hoping this will spark another run like that,” he said.

“I’m hoping the winner is a local from the Northam community. That would be really fantastic.”

WA’s third major winner came after two other local players became instant millionaires in draws on Monday and Wednesday.

Two WA players also claimed Set For Life division two prizes, each worth $5,000 a month for 12 months, at the weekend.

The winning tickets were sold at Brighton Village Newsagency and Heights Lottery Centre & Newsagency.

Tickets for Tuesday’s $5 million Oz Lotto draw are available until 6pm of game night.
