One lucky West Australian is going to bed almost $2.5 million richer after taking out the Division One prize in tonight’s Oz Lotto draw.

The WA winner, from the southern Perth suburb of Wellard, was the only player across the country to pick all seven numbers and pocketed the entire $2,499,646.40 prize for themselves.

They purchased their ticket from Wellard Square News and Gifts Newspower but the multimillion prize is yet to be claimed.

The winning numbers were 22, 30, 24, 12, 5, 3, 27.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said it was WA’s first Oz Lotto Division One win this year and the third largest across all games, following similar size wins in February and March.

“It’s always an exciting moment when the State produces a big Lotto winner, especially a multimillion dollar one,” Ms Compangnone said.

“It has added to our growing tally of Division One winners, which now sits at 28 and total prizes worth almost $36.5 million.”

There were no Division Two winners tonight but 10 West Australians were among the 77 people who won just over $4,000 for Division Three.

Just over 13,000 West Australians who picked up $15.05 each in Division Seven prizes will likely have to continue turning up to work this week despite their wins.

Local players who supported tonight’s Oz Lotto draw contributed to the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund, with all available profits made from Lotterywest tickets being directed to the fund.

The chances of winning Division One Oz Lotto is one in 45,379,620.
