A Kelmscott family is celebrating after coming forward to claim a $562,000 Saturday Lotto Division One prize from last month.

At first they were celebrating a five-figure win thanks to their System 7 ticket from Busy Bee Lottery Kiosk for Saturday’s draw on August 29.

“I called my son and said I had won $57,000, but when we checked the ticket again we realised we needed to add an extra zero,” one of the winners said.

“We’ve known about the win since the night of the draw, but we wanted to have a plan on how this win would work best for our family.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said there’s still time to grab tickets in tonight’s $40 million Powerball draw.

“Tickets are available until 6pm from Lotterywest in-store, online or via the app,” Ms Coleman said.

“It’s great to see another WA family celebrating a win together and tonight’s $40 million Powerball draw is a perfect chance to be part of a syndicate with family or friends.”

All available profits from Lotterywest tickets go towards the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund which support organisations and people experiencing hardship due to COVID-19.
