A moment in time announced as theme for Dampier Art Awards 2022

Emerging and established artists in the City of Karratha keen to have their work recognised are being called to enter this year’s Dampier Art Awards.

Dampier Community Association announced this year’s theme will ask artists how they portray a moment in time.

“Is it the past, the present or the future? Is it a memory of someone or something of personal significance? Is it capturing an image, scene or emotion in a split second? Or an event that has influenced you personally or helped to shape our world,” the statement said.

“You could look back at a specific year or era in history or look forward into our future and what this may bring.”

Entries will open from March 1 with the exhibition running from March 26 to April 17 at the Dampier Community Hall.
