The second last round of Karratha Water Polo Association’s 2018 games again featured a number of close contests.

In the women’s division, the Pirates had the double game, losing to the Barracudas 4-2.

Ashleen McGovern top-scored with three goals for the Cudas. Denise Westberg was the Pirates’ top scorer with three goals.

The Krakens dominated the Pirates in the second game, winning 9-2.

Simone Fountain and Ebony Hennessy combined to score seven goals for the Krakens and Jacinta Wright scored two for the Pirates.

In the men’s B-grade division, the Cudas defeated the Pirates, 10-5.

Rhys Wilkinson scored four goals for Krakens whilst Travis Graham netted four goals for Pirates.

In men’s A-grade Pirates beat the Krakens, 11-10, with Justin Angove and Bben Biddiscombe together scoring seven Pirates goals and the Krakens’ Charlie Regan and Byron Newbold scoring five and three respectively.

The second game ended in a 4-all draw between Pirates and Cudas.

Aaron Day was the top scorer for the Pirates, netting two goals, and Lee Stiles was best in front of goals for the Cudas by scoring three long range goals.
