Barracudas player Sarah Stinten was in peak condition, scoring four goals in her first match of the night and another three goals in her second last Thursday.

But Stinten was no match for Krakens’ Jess Newbold and Susan Grylls, who worked seamlessly alongside veteran Simone Fountain to bring the Krakens to a 6-4 win.

Barracudas giant Dan Pederson put away four goals for his team in the first men’s A-grade match of the night as the side battled without reserves.

The Pirates continued their winning streak, with the Gerritzon-Angove combo proving deadly, scoring 11 goals between the two and bringing the score to 13-6 to Pirates.

It was only the second A-grade game for junior Cohen Regan but this was no concern for youngest of the Regan brothers, who scored his first goal in the big leagues for the Sharks.

Tim Bailey earned multiple penalties throughout the match against the Krakens, scoring five goals for his team and bringing the final score to 7-4 for another Sharks win.

The A-grade Pirates women continued to develop their skills, with newbie Stacey Harper and junior Bree Babao scoring two goals each.

The Barracudas looked confident, sharing the goal scoring across the entire team, finishing with a 10-6 win over the Pirates.
