WA’s most famous AUSLAN interpreter, Fiona Perry, can add dancer to her resume.

Ms Perry, who has become an unlikely local celebrity for her sign language during Premier Mark McGowan’s and Health Minister Roger Cook’s coronavirus press conferences, has filmed a video of her dancing with Fat Cat for Telethon and Seven West Media’s #dancingtogether challenge.

The video was shared on Telethon’s Instagram account.

It is Ms Perry’s latest brush with social media fame, after a clip of her signing the noise of a car alarm during one of Mr Cook’s press conferences was widely shared.

Inspired by people around the world who have used isolation to share their best song and dance moves, The West Australian is asking friends and families to post their best dance videos on social media with the hashtag #dancingtogether and tag in @Telethon7 before May 10.

Every day a finalist is chosen to be featured on 7NEWS, while the ultimate winners can share in $5000 worth of prizes.
