A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after an alleged hit-and-run in Osborne Park on Christmas night.

It is alleged the motorcyclist was riding near the intersection of Scarborough Beach Road and Sundercombe Road about 10.50pm when his blue Yamaha motorcycle collided with a white sedan.

The motorcyclist fell from his motorcycle and received serious leg injuries.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital under priority conditions where he remains.

The driver of the sedan did not stop at the scene, instead continuing east on Scarborough Beach Road and on past Hutton Street.
