WA police have called for public information over a Gnangara motorcycle crash last night that left the rider in critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital.

A 38-year-old man had been riding his KTM off-road motorcycle in a south-west direction along Sydney Road near the intersection of Fortitude Boulevard, when it hit the kerb of the median strip and caused him to lose control.

The motorcycle ran off the road and into a power pole and he was taken by ambulance to RPH.

Police investigators want anyone with information regarding the crash, or who saw the KTM off-road motorcycle in the area prior to the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.

Officers are also investigating a crash in Hilbert this morning.
