You’ve heard of Paul the Octopus and Suzie the ‘psychic pig’; now WA has it’s own grand final predicter — a Rottnest quokka.

As the AFL’s premiership cup made its way offshore to Rottnest Island on Monday, a cheeky quokka took its chance to give a match-winning tip.

And who did the quokka pick?

Sorry Demons fans, the quokka believes it will be the Western Bulldogs taking out the 2021 flag.

The AFL cup has been on a remarkable journey across WA in the lead up to our historic event.

From the Karijini National Park to the Bungles Bungles and more, the cup has racked up thousands of miles to take in the best our state has to offer.

It will then make its way to Optus Stadium and be presented by either Melbourne’s Garry Lyon or Doggies great Chris Grant to the winning side.

Both players captained their clubs, combining for 195 games as skipper, and both hold places in their clubs’ Team of the Century.

Only Brad Johnson has played more games (364) for the Western Bulldogs than Grant (341), kicking 554 goals across and 18-year career.
