The AFL is reportedly “fed up” with outlandish requests from Richmond players ranging from reimbursement for Coles orders to reconstruction of living spaces to make apartments more comfortable.

Almost every side has now experienced hub life in some form with West Coast and Fremantle setting up camp in Queensland before round two as the league’s guinea pigs.

But the AFL is reportedly particularly frustrated with the “self-entitlement” of the reigning premiers’ players, after a range of bizarre and costly requests.

All Victorian AFL clubs fled the state as the coronavirus pandemic took hold.

Richmond landed on the Gold Coast but a request to pack a player’s puppy forced the league to reiterate, hub life was no holiday.

The aired grievances come days after a breach from within the Tigers camp, after captain Trent Cotchin’s wife unknowingly broke AFL hub protocols when she headed to a day spa and posted the breach on social media.

The Eagles and Dockers are anticipating another hub stay to finish the 2020 regular season and while the WA clubs were not mentioned in a report conducted by channel Nine, the reaction to the Victorian super-club's demands has been scathing.

“They’re the first to put their hands up and whinge and want extra,” said former Port Adelaide great Warren Tredrea.

“I mean what are they paying for at the moment? They’re paying for their mortgages and that’s it.

“They’re not paying for the cost of living.

“They’re actually able to still get paid 50 per cent of their salary and it looks like, I’m hearing, they might not even be deducted next year if we can get through this.”

The round 13 fixtures are expected to be announced later today, with West Coast and Fremantle set for another round at home.

The Eagles will take on GWS while Fremantle will face Sydney.
