Collingwood star Adam Treloar is not heading north, despite reports linking the AFL star with Gold Coast after his fiance signed a deal to play netball in Queensland.

The AFL rumour mill went into a spin when Treloar’s fiance Kim Ravaillion signed a one-year deal to play with the Queensland Firebirds next season, taking the couple’s young daughter Georgie with her.

Ravaillion played Super Netball for Collingwood as recently as 2019 but took this year off for the birth of her child with Treloar.

Her impending move to Queensland raised questions about whether Treloar would follow suit on a lucrative deal with the Suns.

But Treloar’s manager Tim Hazell said the midfielder, who is contracted with Collingwood until 2025, will be staying at the Magpies.

“He is not going anywhere,” Hazell told Newscorp.

“He is respectful of Kimmy’s career, he is excited by the opportunity and it’s a one-year contract and they will manage.

“Collingwood were kept in the loop with Kimmy signing with the Firebirds and they are very supportive of the situation.

“They are professional athletes with a small window.

“He moved to Collingwood to play for Collingwood and that’s it. Gold Coast has spoken to me, but we made clear his future is at Collingwood.”

Ravaillion, who won two championships with the Firebirds during her first stint there from 2013-16, said she was looking forward to returning to the netball court after the birth of her daughter Georgie in 2020.

“It’s exciting to continue to chase my dreams as a professional netballer and I can’t wait to give back to the club that gave me so much,” Ravaillion, who won gold medals with the Australian Diamonds at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Netball World Cup, said.

“There’s some familiar faces in the team I’m looking forward to reuniting with, but also some of the most exciting new talent in the competition that I’ll get the chance to play with for the first time.”

The news that Treloar will stay at Collingwood will be a huge relief to the Magpies, who are still sweating on the future of star forward Jordan De Goey.

De Goey is out of contract and keen on a significant pay rise — something Collingwood might not be able to accommodate.

Treloar has been one of the Magpies’ best players since moving from Greater Western Sydney at the end of 2015.

The 27-year-old suffered two hamstring injuries this season but still managed to play 10 games and average 27 possessions.
