Richmond and Melbourne have been forced into a raft of changes because of players entering the league’s COVID -19 health and safety protocols.

Both the Tigers and Demons opened their 2022 AFLW campaigns with wins but have to make five changes each for the clash on Friday night.

The Demons five changes are all because of players being in the league’s health and safety protocols.

Defenders Sarah Lampard, Casey Sherriff and Shelley Heath, and midfielders Maddison Gay and Shelly Scott are all out because of the protocols.

They are replaced by Gabrielle Colvin, Lauren Magee, Sinead Goldrick, Eliza McNamara and Krstel Petrevski.

The Tigers will be missing key forward Sarah D’Arcy, midfielder Maddie Shevlin and forward Tayla Stahl because of protocols.

Midfielder Emelia Yassir and ruck Poppy Kelly are out because of injury.

Coming in for the Tigers will be Laura McClelland, Kodi Jacques, Sarah Sansonetti, Meg Macdonald and Sarah Dargan.
