The Warwick Senators claimed their first piece of SBL silverware when beating Perry Lakes Hawks 96-81 in the men’s Classic decider last night.

Former Wildcat Corban Wroe claimed the MVP award, shooting 78 per cent from the floor to go with 15 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Wroe played 29 games over two seasons with the Cats and the defensive specialist’s pressure ignited a comeback for the minor champions in the second quarter before ensuring a strong finish to claim the victory.
