Sebit Kuek will pull on a third team’s colours in less than a week when the mid-season draftee turns out for Peel Thunder against Subiaco at Leederville Oval on Saturday.

Kuek was drafted by Fremantle on Wednesday having kicked 16 goals from five games this season for East Perth, but will now play for the Dockers-aligned Thunder.

The 21-year-old’s inclusion will help the Thunder cover the loss of key forward Wade Derksen, who was drafted to Greater Western Sydney on the same day.

Kuek kicked three goals for the Royals just a week earlier in their big win over West Coast.

Eagles draftee Connor West did the same thing last year, playing for West Perth until round eight before making his debut for their WAFL side in round nine.

Dockers captain Nat Fyfe will be the main attraction as he plays his first game of the year and first in the WAFL since 2010 as he continues his recovery from shoulder and back surgeries.

Fyfe has a remarkable WAFL record, with 13 goals in four games, but has been named in the centre where he will likely be met by Lions’ tagger Liam Hickmott.

The Thunder have lost four Dockers-listed players from their shock win over Claremont last weekend, with ruckman Lloyd Meek to play against Brisbane, while Mitch Crowden and Connor Blakely are emergencies for the AFL side.

Subiaco named three first gamers in Galen Savigni, Jake South and Lachlan Henderson - taking their total number of debutants this season to 15.

The reigning premiers are sitting 2-4, but a win over the Fyfe-powered Thunder would keep them in touch with the top five.

Claremont ruckman Oliver Eastland will play his first league game since last year’s preliminary final loss after recovering from stress fractures in his back when the Tigers take on Perth at Revo Fitness Stadium.

The 24-year-old was hindered by the injury throughout the pre-season before his return was stalled by COVID-19.

Claremont welcomed back forward Timm House from a hamstring injury, while Bailey Bennett will return to the league side for the first time since 2019 after two years of injury troubles.

Perth regained six players from COVID-19 for the game, but in-form Sam Stubbs is sidelined with a fractured tibia and Mitch Browne has a broken a finger.

Swan Districts have regained stalwart Tony Notte for their game against West Coast at Steel Blue Oval, with the defender missing his first game in 12 years last weekend because of COVID-19.

Ruckman Matt Germs and draft prospect Elijah Hewett have also been named, with Tarir Bayok, Brenton Hilton and Brodie Morris omitted.

West Coast named one of their strongest WAFL sides for the season, with seven AFL-listed players to suit up thanks to the inclusions of ruckman Luke Strnadica and forward Jack Petruccelle.
