West Coast has been beaten by the Tigers in another disappointing home-game performance.

The Eagles regain Liam Ryan and brought experienced duo Tim Kelly and Jack Petruccelle back from the WAFL but they couldn’t match the young Tigers for speed as they torched turnovers.

Eagles had a decent night stats-wise but their errors and inability to find targets inside 50 left the door open for Richmond all night.

Recap the action from our blog.

Goodnight!

Another poor loss for the Eagles as their season is on track to be the worst in West Coast history.

They have never won less than two but after a loss tonight and few bottom half teams to come, chances are they won’t win again.

However, attention now turns to Fremantle in Melbourne as they attempt to topple the Pies and earn a spot in the top four.

Until then, goodnight!

Sick of it

Andrew McQualter cuts a frustrated figure in his press conference, saying he is “sick” of losing.

West Coast came into the match with a chance of a win but just left fans bitter.

Forward structure

The Eagles have some forward questions this week after Jack Williams went touchless before being subbed in the third term.

While their entries were pitiful, Williams looks like he needs a break.

It’s at least the second time he’s been subbed out with limited touches.

Archer Reid waits in the WAFL so it may be worth having a look at him alongside Jobe Shanahan who looked strong from limited chances.

They also need to discuss if having Bailey Williams and Matt Flynn in the team is necessary considering Bailey did very little ruck work.

Three-word analysis

The Eagles have produced one of their worst defeats of the rebuild and left the fans in despair.

How would you sum it up?

FULL TIME: West Coast 56, Richmond 105

Out of all of the Eagles’ defeats this season, this one will hurt the most.

Coming into a game they should be competing in, they were blown out of the water in one quarter and showed no response.

Liam Duggan had over 30 disposals off half back and Reid produced his first-ever two-goal, 25 disposal plus game but the second tier is bear.

Hough ends up with a nice game with 24 touches, seven tackles and four clearances but may have been better employed stopping Hopper who had over 30 touches for the Tigers.

The Eagles managed more inside 50s than the Tigers but only had 16 scoring shots to Richmond’s 25.

Their entry was diabolical.

They finished even in the clearance battle but it was all undone by stupid errors trying to make plays they are not yet good enough to achieve.

Andrew McQualter has a long week of soul searching ahead before his second western derby.

Bitter disappointment

Another 44,000 in the house for the Eagles tonight but they have been left with a sour taste in their mouth after their team failed to appear in the third quarter.

They get a couple back late but their errors just hurt too much for the fans.

The Tigers are just two points away from cracking thye century for the first time this season.

Their previous high-score was 90.

Good reward

Reid adds a goal to his night’s work and it’s good rewarded for the 20-year-old.

He has been the Eagles best despite the second-half tag and has been on his best behaviour.

He has not given away a free kick and earned several in his favour by using his strength to play footy.

Reid is up to 25 touches, one goal, six tackles and a team-high six clearances.

Life?

The Eagles are bringing both half-forward flankers up into the contest to start the fourth.

They win a free kick just as Richmond clear but the kick inside 50 is spoiled away from Ryan.

It lands with Baker who smartly finds Hutchinson on the arc.

His kick bows into the goalsquare where Shanahan drifts in unopposed for an uncontested mark and goal.
