The West Live: Perth's Como The Treasury named best hotel in Australia

Perth's Como The Treasury has been named the best city hotel in Australia and New Zealand by a leading US tourism magazine.

New York-based tourism magazine Travel + Leisure ‘s 2020 World's Best Awards list honours the top hotels, travel destinations, and companies worldwide.

The man behind one of WA's most recognisable and luxurious projects, property developer Adrian Fini, is proud to be among the those named.

On The West Live this morning, Mr Fini will join the show's host Jenna Clarke to discuss the latest honour and his future plans and ideas for the city.

The prominent Perth businessman is also expected to touch on the crushing impact the pandemic has had on hotel sector with the WA border closed.

Hotels named in the awards were determined by votes from hundreds of thousands of Travel + Leisure readers, compiled through an annual survey that evaluated set criteria including rooms and facilities, location, service, food, and value.

After 9am, The West Australian's Inside Cover editor Ben O'Shea will join the show to share some quirky stories from across the State.
