Jeanswest: Closing down sale as more than 90 stores in Australia set to shut
Shoppers have the opportunity to own some of the last items of clothing at Jeanswest before all stores in Australia close down.
The brand collapsed last month after the parent company behind Rivers, Katies and Rockmans entered administration last year.
Jeanswest’s remaining stock has gone on sale as administrators move to an online-only store.
The website states there is at least 40 per cent off everything store-wide, including thousands of already reduced items, as the brand attempts to clear all shop fronts.
In bricks and mortar stores, all jeans are at least 40 per cent off.
The sale extends to all women’s knits and jersey tops, with those items also at least 40 per cent off.
Administrators said the decision to close the brand came after five years of struggling to revive the company, with customers not spending as much due to the cost of living crisis.
“The owners have done everything they can to keep Jeanswest going,” administrator Lindsay Bainbridge said in a statement.
“They deeply regret the impact of store closures on their team members and their customers, and we will be working now with teams across the country.”
