For those about to rock, we’ve put together an AC/DC fan guide detailing all the must-know information ahead of the band’s first show at Optus Stadium, which kicks off on Thursday night.

The legendary Aussie rockers will be playing twice at the venue as part of their Power Up tour, with their second performance scheduled for Monday, December 8.

Set Times

*As per Optus Stadium, as well as expected timings according to previous shows.

Box Office Open: 4pm

Read more...

Gates Open: 5pm

Southern River Band: 6.10pm

Amyl and the Sniffers: 7pm

AC/DC: 8.30pm

Travel to/from Optus Stadium

Gates open from 5.00pm and increased congestion along Graham Farmer Freeway and heavy foot traffic around the stadium precinct is expected.

Main Roads have advised that motorists should allow for extra travel time especially during afternoon peak as delays are expected If in the stadium precinct be aware of heavy foot traffic and frequently stopping vehicles.

Tow away zones are in place – check street signs before parking.

Concert tickets include Transperth services for three hours either side of the concert.

Additional services will be running to manage increased travel to and from Optus Stadium.

As per Transperth’s website:

Travel by Train

To Optus Stadium

Direct Yanchep and Mandurah line services will not be operating. Instead, take a timetabled train service to Perth and transfer to a train to Stadium Station. Trains between Perth and Stadium Station will operate on an approximate 7-8 minute frequency between 4pm and 6.30pm, then a 3-5 minute frequency until about 8.30pm.

Trains on the Armadale Line, departing from Byford Station, and Thornlie Cockburn Line, departing Cockburn Central Station, stop at Perth Stadium Station.

From Optus Stadium

All trains to Perth Station will depart from platform 1 and 2 on the eastern concourse. Direct Yanchep, Mandurah and Fremantle line services will be operating. Alternatively, take the train to Perth then transfer to another line. Trains will operate on a high frequency from about 11pm to get you home. The last train departs Stadium Station about 1.02am.

Trains on the Armadale Line towards Byford Station and Thornlie Cockburn Line towards Cockburn-Central Station will depart from platform 5 and 6 on the eastern concourse.

Travel by Bus

To Optus Stadium

The Suburban Event Bus Network will not be operating. Instead, catch a timetabled bus service to Perth then transfer to a train to Stadium Station. Alternatively, you can also catch the Red CAT to Matagarup Bridge via West Perth and Perth CBD.

From Optus Stadium

The Suburban Event Bus Network will be operating for 45 minutes after the concert. Alternatively, you can walk over the Matagarup Bridge and catch the Red CAT.

View your Stadium Station Bus Stand number prior to travelling to Optus Stadium.

If you are travelling before, or after this time, you will need to catch an alternate service to Optus Stadium.

Expect roads immediately bordering Optus Stadium to be closed or restricted with limited access.

Merchandise

An AC/DC pop-up merchandise store opened at West Perth’s Cleaver House on Wednesday and will continue operating throughout the band’s time in Perth.

The pop-up sells limited edition apparel and collector’s items not available for purchase at Optus Stadium.

Tickets

Optus Stadium is expecting a total of more than 95,000 fans to attend across two shows, with limited tickets remaining available for both at the time of writing.
