AFL Grand Final at Crown

Crown Theatre will be transformed into a stadium-style spectacular featuring a massive screen, state-of-the-art sound, talks from footy insiders including former West Coast Eagle Will Schofield, live entertainment, prizes and more. Or for the classic game-day experience, head to Crown Sports Bar for 139.5sqm of high-definition screens, multiple bars and TAB facilities.
Perth Royal Show
Saturday September 26 to October 3, from 10am daily, Claremont Showground
Two new rides, a human cannonball and the promise of “More Show For Your Dough” — the West Australian institution is back for 2026, 121 years after it first debuted at Claremont.
This year’s show will also feature more than 360 show bags, over 100 free things to see and do, plus a host of new additions such as Snack Showdown, and perennial favourites such as the Farmyard Nursery, Yellow Brick Road and the famous nightly fireworks.

Barking Gecko Arts’ long-running school holiday festival returns for 2026 in its biggest event to date, with five days of theatre, music, visual arts and hands-on experiences. In light of cost-of-living pressures, every ticketed event on this year’s program is a flat price of $10, though most are free.

Heathers The Musical

The cult 1989 film has been reimagined as a black comedy rock musical, with WAAPA-trained Emma Caporaso leading the cast as Veronica (played by Winona Ryder in the original Heathers).
