Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen had great success after visiting the iconic Busselton Jetty today during his trip of WA’s South West.

Leaving patrons and workers star-struck, the international movie star walked the mile-long jetty before visiting the Underwater Observatory at the end of the jetty.

Staying true to his character, the Borat star left a postcard at the jetty writing: “Busselton jetty is very niiice (sic), Borat.” — which can only be read in the Kazakhstan accent the beloved character adopts in his movies. He signed off with a cool “Thanks, it’s amazing, Sacha BC.”

The official Busselton Jetty Facebook page posted a photo of the card with the caption: “Thanks Sacha Baron Cohen for visiting our Underwater Observatory today. We love Borat!!”

Some patrons who attended the jetty on the same day expressed their disappointment on missing out on bumping into the Hollywood star.

Sacha Baron Cohen is in town with his Perth-born wife Isla Fisher for the Cinefest Oz Film Festival was held in Busselton.

Fisher is to be awarded the Screen Legend award at the event.

The superstar couple moved from Los Angeles to Sydney with their three children last year, and arrived in WA to complete their quarantining in time for the festival.
