Beloved TikTok star Sydney Towle has died following a courageous battle with a rare form of cancer.
The 26-year-old passed away on Wednesday, nearly three years after she was diagnosed with bile duct cancer.
Her family announced the heartbreaking news on Thursday.
“Rest in peace Sydney Elizabeth Towle,” her family wrote alongside a picture of her on a mountaintop.
“An endless ray of sunshine. A daughter, sister, and friend to so many.
“We will always love you so much Sydney. I am so proud of how hard you fought. I love you.”
Her death comes just one day after her brother announced she had moved to hospice care.
The inspirational social media personality documented her journey with stage 4 cholangiocarcinoma to her more than 1 million followers.
Ms Towle revealed in 2024 that she initially went to the doctors after noticing a lump in her abdomen.
“The doctor thought I had a hernia, but he was like, ‘I’ll send you in for an ultrasound, just in case,’” Towle said in an interview.
“I got an ultrasound, and it showed a solid mass.”
Ms Towle’s social media accounts have been flooded with messages following her passing.
Perth influencer Jacqui Alexander showed her support, commenting: “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Another said: “You changed my life, Syd. You are so deeply loved, and I will miss you forever. I’ll carry you with me in everything I do. Thank you for being such an absolute ray of sunshine and such a beautiful friend. I love you so, so, so much. ❤️.”
