Emma Memma is set to return to Perth this October to once again be part of the highly anticipated 26-hour Telethon broadcast.
Former Wiggle Emma Watkins traded her yellow skivvy for a twirly orange dress in 2022 when she launched her new character and has been part of Telethon ever since.
“Ever since starting Emma Memma, it’s been great to be able to do events we haven’t been able to do in the past. That’s mostly because we can control our own schedule,” she said.
Each October the beloved children’s performer has joined the panel inside RAC Arena, visited sick children in hospital, made friends with the little Telethon stars and quite frankly stolen the show.
“You kind of forget your life for 48 hours, and you do everything,” she said.
Emma is one of the most recognisable performers in the country, so much so people often forget there is a human underneath all that joy.
A human who has a doctorate, her own business and a story.
