Jasmine is practically in love with Lewis and Budget McDreamy is forging ahead with wedding plans and wants Gracie to “walk down the aisle” on the big day, but everything is about to come crashing down in glorious Home and Away manner.

It feels like weeks ago when Christian and Lewis went head to head in the hospital.

But the pair finally run into each other and are ready to discuss Lewis holding Christian responsible to the death of his wife, Anna, and their unborn child.

Or so we are led to believe.

“Knowing that you take responsibility for what happened to Anna makes a huge difference,” Lewis says.

The Doc’s face drops and the suspenseful music starts up.

“Hang on, what?,” Christian says. “I never said it was my fault.”

“You apologised,” Lewis replies.

“I said I was sorry for your loss,” Christian says. “I think there’s been a misunderstanding.”

Naturally this enrages Lewis.

“How many people need to die before you realise you’re not God?,” Lewis yells back.

Willow overhears absolutely everything because she’s standing right next to them and promptly tells Jas.

Jasmine takes it surprisingly well, and strangely enough, it only cements her feelings for Lewis.

She tells him he should let it go and be at peace.

“He’s in total denial,” Lewis says referring to Budget McDreamy’s hand in this gross injustice.

“Maybe you need to accept that you’ll never get the response you want from him,” Jas replies.

It cheers him up a bit but not anywhere near as much as Jasmine inviting him to stay the night.

“I’m asking you to stay,” she says.

It would be stupid of me to overlook the fact that Jasmine is desperate for a baby and until a few weeks ago, considered Colby to be a good option.

However Lewis is a much better candidate even if he is trying to derail Budget McDreamy’s medical career. But Jas has been through a lot and might be overlooking this because baby is the goal.

Budget McDreamy keeps quiet for the rest of the day until Tori forces him to talk about it.

Lewis has planted the seed of doubt and now Budget McDreamy is second guessing his actions.

“Maybe I’ve made mistakes along the way,” he says.

Over at the diner, poor Maz is bawling her eyes out because crumb of a human John allowed his insane girlfriend Susie to serve the divorce papers.

“I thought he had more respect for me, for our time together,” Maz weeps.

Leah soothes her with tea while Alf gives John a piece of his mind… “in private” which Susie is not happy about because she likes being across all of John’s business no matter how private.

“I shouldn’t have to spell out to you that Marilyn deserves a hell of a lot better than this,” Alf rages at John.

It gets through to John and is ready to apologise to Maz.

Anyway he stations himself at the diner with a few pieces of cake until Maz is eventually ready to hear John out.

“I’m sorry for being an idiot,” he says.

They take a stroll along the beach (Maz in heels) and they both say they want the best for each other although Maz is still feeling uneasy because she wasn’t able to say her bit about Susie.

Meanwhile Susie is putting on an act and bawling her eyes out to con John further into never leaving her.

Speaking of cons, the bank calls and Justin and Leah’s loan has fallen through so they scramble to find a new bank.

And precious baby Gracie takes her first steps and Jas wasn’t there to see it so she’s going to be furious that she missed the milestone.
