Netflix star Dylan Minnette will head to Perth later this year with his indie rock band Wallows on their biggest global headline tour yet.

The 27-year-old actor, best known for his role as Clay Jensen in 13 Reasons Why, will rock out to Australian and New Zealand fans on their Model Tour this December.

Wallows, composed of Minnette on lead vocals and his best mates Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston, will kick off the Aussie leg of the tour at Fremantle Arts Centre on December 5.

In 2017, Minnette made headlines for his portrayal as the main character—alongside Perth’s Katherine Langford—in the Netflix teen drama that captured audiences for its confronting exploration of suicide within a high school environment.

The tour announcement comes in celebration of the band’s highly anticipated third studio album Model which arrives on May 24.

Wallows has also dropped new single Calling After Me, the second track to be unveiled from the album.

The trio have been best friends since the age of 11, playing music together in the LA music program Join the Band almost two decades ago and haven’t stopped since.

In March 2022, the band released their sophomore album, Tell Me That It’s Over, produced by three-time Grammy Award-winner Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Adele).

TMTIO saw Wallows continuing on their ever-evolving journey of sonic exploration, fusing a vast array of musical ideas—from lo-fi post-punk and indie-folk to early ’90s dance-pop psychedelia—into their one-of-a-kind creative vision.

Before that, the band released hugely popular debut album Nothing Happens in 2019.

In the live space, Wallows have headlined sold out shows around the globe and have performed at major festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Reading and Leeds.

Tickets go on sale at 9.30am on March 28 with Frontier Touring members able to access pre-sale on March 25.

Two exclusive VIP packages will be available for fans to take their Model Tour experience to the next level by including GA tickets, VIP tote bag, VIP playing card set, commemorative laminate, early entry to the venue and more.
