Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban split: Body language expert reveals 'tension’ between golden couple
While fans around the world reel from the news of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s separation, a body language expert has revealed that the signs were there all along.
It remains unclear what triggered the split or when the decision was made to part ways; however, sources close to the couple say Kidman has been making every effort to save the marriage.
While the couple, who have been married since 2006, has not officially filed for divorce, the future of their relationship remains uncertain.
The Big Little Lies star and Grammy-winning country musician were last snapped together on June 20, while attending a FIFA Club World Cup 2025 match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis in Nashville, Tennessee.
But what appeared to be a casual outing now looks like a moment of quiet tension.
Body language expert Louise Mahler told the Daily Mail that the couple’s behaviour during the match was far from their usual dynamic.
“At one point, Nicole is fiddling with her left hand, which is a sign of tension, but we do not know what it is about,” she told the outlet.
Ms Maher also noted the striking lack of eye contact from Urban.
“He is looking away, but Nicole is looking at him; it is an odd look.”

This subdued interaction was a stark contrast to their typical public appearances, where they’re known for quite affectionate displays, often stealing the spotlight with their chemistry.
Just a month earlier, the couple appeared united and glowing at the 60th Academy of Country Music Awards in Texas, embracing and smiling for cameras.

Kidman and Urban celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in June, with the actress sharing a tribute to her husband on Instagram.
In the post, she shared a photo of herself cuddled up to Urban alongside the caption: “Happy Anniversary Baby”.
According to reports, Kidman did not want the separation and has been “fighting to save the marriage”.
A source revealed to People that the Nine Perfect Strangers star “didn’t want this”.
Kidman and Urban share two daughters together, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
While Urban has been travelling the world on his High and Alive World Tour, it has emerged that Kidman and her daughters have been “inseparable”.
Kidman posted a series of photos on Instagram in August alongside her daughters, niece and sister, Antonia.
She has reportedly grown closer with Antonia while she grapples with heartbreak.
“Nicole’s sister has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”
