A picnic remains one of the best ways to enjoy local produce while marvelling over some of Perth’s best views.

Whether you are catching sunset at the beach, admiring the city skyline from Kings Park or enjoying an open-air performance, why not do it with the most delicious food possible?

Some of Perth’s top gourmet purveyors are offering premium hampers and take-home grazing boards to savour their flavours from your chosen location — think truffles, octopus and artisan cheese.

Check out three of the newest premium picnic packs to share with a bestie or beau.

Garum

Guy Grossi’s Hibernian Place restaurant now has a takeaway option? We are listening.

Garum recently released a hamper loaded with delicacies from the Roman osteria’s kitchen, including crispy suppli, Fremantle octopus, terrine, vegetable caponata, fig jam, mushrooms in vinegar, anchovies and more. For those with a sweet tooth, there is also a decadent tiramisu and creamy cannolo to finish.

Boxes are just $79, or add in a bottle of Garum’s signature red or white wine for $129 total. Order 48 hours in advance for collection on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

The Westin Perth

Not only is The Westin Perth’s new Truffle High Tea available in-house at the Haven Lounge, but it can also be boxed up and brought home for those chasing more intimacy.

Start with savoury bites like parsnip pannacotta tart, coddled duck egg on brioche and chicken and truffle rilettes before sinking teeth into cherry and tonka bean roulade, apple and yoghurt tart and a statement truffle Opera cake.

Pop-up stands come as part of the package, which are $59 and serve one person generously. Add a 750ml bottle of Chandon NV Brut for $99 for some extra sparkle.

The Truffle High Tea Takeaway is available Friday - Sunday until September 28, with advance booking required.

Designed to be enjoyed now or savoured in smaller sittings, it features smoked Denmark wildflower honey, spiced caramel Manjimup macadamia, smoked grape seed oil, cauliflower piccalilli, Lowlands five native spice salt, native thyme vinegar and house pickles.

Just $70 gets you a jar of everything, with bookings for all three options available at marriottgifts.com.au.
