The Perth Pilates scene is heating up as another studio joins the ranks, with Love Athletica finding its first WA location in Nedlands. Known for its high-energy classes across its Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra studios, the Perth offering will include functional strength reformer plus hot mat Pilates and yoga. It opens in October. The Cruise

Former journalist turned reality TV producer, turned author and self-confessed “madwoman” Naima Brown, has turned her reality roots into a revenge fantasy. Her newest book The Cruise follows the women of a reality series filmed on a cruise ship as they go up against the dangerous men on board, exploring female friendship and women’s anger along the way. The Cruise will be in bookstores from September 29.

The Six Noongar Seasons

Few performances are as distinctly West Australian as The Six Noongar Seasons, which brings together concertos by composer Aaron Wyatt, new poems by Gina Williams-Ghouse, and Australian Baroque performing with WA Opera. The work takes audiences through the Noongar seasons of the South West, moving from heat and abundance to rain, renewal and reflection.
