All charges against Bondi hero Ahmed Al Ahmed have been dropped.

The man who single-handedly saved countless lives during the anti-Semitic terrorist attack on Bondi beach in December 2025 — after he wrestled a rifle off gunman Sajid Akram — was charged with domestic violence offences.

Mr Al Ahmed was charged in June after an incident in March at a Bankstown property.

Police accused the 44-year-old of assaulting and intimidating his father.

He pleaded not guilty to domestic violence assault and intimidation.

In Bankstown local court on Wednesday, the charges were formally withdrawn by prosecutors.

Mr Al Ahmed waved and gave a thumbs up to the awaiting media outside the court on Wednesday morning, saying “hey guys” before he walked inside with his lawyers.

He sat with a group of supporters as the charges were formally withdrawn in court.

Mr Al Ahmed also agreed without any admission to a 12 month apprehended violence order (AVO) preventing him from assaulting or stalking his father.

Speaking with 2GB’s Ben Fordham after the charges were laid, the Bondi hero became emotional when asked about the charges.

“Honestly, I’m disappointed and (I have) anxiety and this situation is causing me distress. I’m very upset (about) what’s happening,” he said.

Mr Al Ahmed said he found out about the assault charge after police contacted his lawyer.

“I got shocked and disappointed from the situation,” he said.

“I’m an honest, innocent, honourable guy. I never hurt anyone and I’ve never been violent.”

Mr Al Ahmed denied the allegations that he had assaulted his father.

“(I) never did anything,” he said.

“It’s untrue. I’m not a violent guy.”

The Sydney local received worldwide praise after his actions on December 14, 2025, during which he was also seriously injured.

Mr Al Ahmed was shot five times in the left shoulder during the attack.
