100-plus exhibitors expected for annual Show and Shine on Sunday in Albany

More than 100 cars are expected to rumble up for the Great Southern Street Machine Association’s annual Show and Shine event in Centennial Park on Sunday.

Event co-ordinator Christine Sargent said the association was expecting a big contingent from a range of different car eras to show up for the popular Albany event, now in its 28th year.

There will be hot rod memorabilia, clothing, car parts and batteries available at trade stalls during the event, and food stalls.

The coveted best of the show prize will be up for grabs for eager participating motor enthusiasts.

Terry Ackley’s 1962 Holden EJ Premier was awarded best in show at the 2023 event.

Doors open at 10am on Sunday and is $10 per person, children under 12 are free.
