ANA 2024: Denmark Magpies 5 win pulsating B1 premiership, Narrikup 2 headline senior grades decider
Denmark Magpies 5 edged out Griffins 9 in a grand final thriller to claim the Albany Netball Association B1 premiership on Saturday.
The Magpies were the minor premiers but were beaten by Griffins in their qualifying final by five goals, before ultimately having the last laugh over their opponents with a gripping 47-42 win.
In the B3 competition, Royals Saints 6 eased past Kangas 8 with a solid 51-38 triumph, while Kangas 9 beat Griffins 12 (28-20) to clinch the premiership and the Magpies took out the B5 title with a stirring 26-24 victory over Bullets 6.
In the senior grades, Narrikup 2 won the A2 premiership with a rousing two-goal victory over Bullets 2 on Saturday.
Tambellup defeated Narrikup three 42-32 to take out out the A3 competition and Railways 4 smashed Royals Saints 3, 63-39, to clinch the A4 title.
Narrikup secured their second senior title after Narrikup 6 beat Kangas 4 by one goal in a gripping 42-41 A5 decider and Griffins 7 held off Narrikup 7 to win the A6 premiership, 35,27.
Earlier in the day, Denmark Magpies 8 cruised to the D1 title over Railways 5 with a convincing 35-19 triumph meanwhile Narrikup 16 beat Bullets 7 23-18 in D2.
