IN PICTURES: Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser for Cancer Council well attended at Albany Lotteries House

The Albany community came together once again for Cancer Council WA’s annual Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser last Friday, converging on Lotteries House with home-baked goods and generous donations. The annual morning tea fundraiser for the Cancer Council was held this year at the Albany Lotteries House, co-ordinated by the Albany Regional Volunteer Service, Great Southern FM and the Arthritis Foundation. Attendees gathered to share tea, coffee and an array of delightful homemade treats, all in aid of the Cancer Council at a $10 entry fee. Raffle tickets were on sale for $5 per ticket, with prizes drawn in the early afternoon. The unpredictable Albany weather turned on a sunny winter morning, with attendees taking full advantage and spreading out through the courtyard around trestle tables Community organisations and groups from around Albany including Great Southern FM, Veterans Assist, Cancer Council WA, Arthritis WA, Carers WA, Wanslea, Albany SES, Albany’s Historic Whaling Station, Community Living Association, Amity Healthand Care Shuttle Albany also joined the event, taking an opportunity to connect with the community while also showing their support for the cause.
