A Geraldton motorist is facing serious charges after a significant alleged drug seizure on Brand Highway yesterday.

Police allegedly found 581 ecstasy tablets and 111 grams of methamphetamine when they searched the man's car about 5pm near Rudds Gully, about 8km south of Geraldton.

A 32-year-old man was taken to Geraldton Police Station where he was questioned by detectives.

He appeared before Geraldton Magistrate's Court today and will appear before the same court at a later date.
