Man charged with attempted murder over Geraldton attack

A Drummond Cove man has been charged with attempted murder over an attack at Bluff Point that left two people with serious injuries.

The 38-year-old man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of breaching a violence restraining order.

The charges relate to an incident at a house in Fuller Street, Bluff Point, on Wednesday night.

Police will allege the man assaulted a 36-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man about 11.30pm.

Both victims received serious injuries and were flown by Royal Flying Doctor Service to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

Both remained in a critical condition today.

The accused will appear before the Geraldton Magistrate’s Court today.
