Australian Army personnel will conduct a week of training exercises in metropolitan Adelaide, including the use of unmanned drones.

The Australian Defence Force says the drills will run for seven days from Sunday with military vehicles involved, along with personnel in civilian clothes carrying weapons.

Blank and paint ammunition will be used during some aspects of the training.

"The community should not be concerned during these training activities," an ADF statement said.

"This essential training is vital to maintain Australia's world-class military capability."

The ADF said it was working with local police and other emergency services as part of its activities.
