Disgraced AFL legend Barry Cable — who this week was criminally charged with child sex offences — has reportedly not paid another woman who won a landmark civil case against him more than 10 months ago.

A District Court Judge ruled in June last year, following a civil trial, that Mr Cable had abused the woman from when she was a 12-year-old girl in the late-1960s.

The 80-year-old — who was stripped of his AFL legend status after the civil ruling — was charged by police on Friday over the alleged abuse of a different woman from when she was nine in 1967 and 1968.

But lawyers for the woman who won the civil trial told 7News on Saturday that she had not yet seen a cent of the $818,700 in damages awarded to her from Mr Cable, who is now bankrupt, for what the judge in 2023 described as “catastrophic” damage suffered.

The damages followed a week-long trial in which five different women testified that they had been abused by Mr Cable.

The West understands four of the women have agreed to cooperate with police if criminal charges are laid.

Mr Cable is set to appear in court for the first time on his criminal matters on Thursday.
