Albany detectives renew appeal for information into 2005 Katanning sexual assault

Albany detectives are renewing their appeal for information as they continue to investigate the sexual assault of a woman in Katanning nearly two decades ago.
The woman, aged in her 20s at the time, was attacked at 2.30pm on March 10, 2005, while walking along Austral Terrace.
As she headed towards Bay Street, she cut through nearby bushland where an unknown man sexually assaulted her.
Police said her screams alerted members of the public, who rushed to help.
The attacker fled on foot towards Beach Street. Police believe the man had been seen in the town centre shortly beforehand, near the bank on Clive Street.
