Geraldton driver ‘blows eight times alcohol limit’

A Geraldton driver man allegedly blew eight times over the alcohol limit after he was pulled over by police this morning.

The 47-year-old man allegedly recorded a reading of 0.395 after he was pulled over on Highbury Street, Mt Tarcoola at 4.45am.

He was taken to Geraldton Police Station, where police discovered the man’s license had been disqualified eight times, including two life disqualifications.

A police spokesman said his blood alcohol reading had dropped for him to receive a 0.08 charge at the station.

He appeared in Geraldton Court this morning charged with having no authority to drive and driving over the alcohol limit.

He was granted bail but could not make surety.
