A P-plater driver was allegedly clocked driving at 132km/h with two babies in the car in the State’s mid-west this week.

The 21-year-old was stopped by Carnamah Police allegedly driving a Suburu Liberty at 132km/h in a 110km/h zone on Brand Highway, 10km from Eneabba on Monday afternoon.

Police said the driver, who is from Geraldton, has had his licence for less than six months and was driving with two children, aged about one year old and six months, in restraints on the back seat of the car.

He allegedly told officers he hadn’t been paying attention to his speedometer.

He was fined $400 and lost three demerit points.
