SA shooting victim knew attacker: police

A South Australian man shot dead overnight knew his attacker, police believe.

Officers found the 49-year-old's body at a property in Virginia, north of Adelaide, about 3am on Monday.

He died from a gunshot wound but the firearm has not been recovered.

Police believe the two men knew each other and the incident was not random.
